Esther's Cupcakes Bring Refinement to a Cupcake Saturated World

For some time now I have been going to Esther's Cupcakes, after they opened little less than a year ago, and they have made a big splash in the community. When the cupcake craze first hit the culinary scene it was unique, nostalgic, and full of long lost excitement - plus the added benefit of being able to try multiple cupcakes flavors in one sitting (when sharing with friends, of course), but unlike the rest of the cupcake craze Esther's Cupcakes takes this craving to a whole new place.

With prominent customers like the Governor and his family to the public of Sacramento Esther's Cupcakes have proven you don't have to kill a person with sweetness to fulfill that wonderful craving. Show below are:

Earl Gray and Lavender - Lavender Earl Grey cake with lavender buttercream frosting (personal favorite),
Carrot - Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (no raisin and no walnuts),
Meyer Lemon - Lemon cake with lemon custard and lemon zest buttercream frosting,
Vanilla - Madagascar bourbon vanilla cupcake with vanilla bean buttercream frosting (probably the best vanilla cupcake I've ever had),
Coconut - Coconut cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and coconut flakes (another personal favorite, as I seem to LOVE everything with Coconut),
Coco Velvet - chocolate cake with cream cheese buttercream frosting (a huge crowd favorite),

With a thriving business and a new helpmate found in Vanilla Garlic's Garrett McCord (who recently finished an externship at The Grange with Elaine Baker), this place even has hesitant rumors about a downtown location - this is big news for all of us that tend to remain with in the grid for all our culinary needs.

So if your looking for a different take on a party, wedding or to glut yourself on a wealth of yumminess for dessert one night check out Esther's Cupcakes, they've got a lot of great things coming for the holiday season as well, which can be found on their Facebook Page, such as:

Linzer Torte: Hazelnut cake with with raspberry jam and topped with a raspberry-white chocolate buttercream.
White Chocolate Raspberry Mousse: chocolate cake with raspberry-white chocolate mousse.

YUMM
