Otherwise known as "Ag at the Capitol." This brings out all the agricultural players from chefs to foodies, grade school classes to legislators!
This was my first "Ag at the Capitol" and I've heard about it for years from my sister Amanda's work with Cal Rice - so this had a lot to live up to! and the rain was making an appearance!
Student chefs working for the wool, lamb and sheep commission making lamb tacos! These were really well seasoned, and as I've never had a lamb taco it was quite a treat as well!
Amanda working for Cal Rice, and the Miss. Rodeo California!
Freshmen Assembly member Richard Pan hanging out in the tractor!
Governor Jerry Brown, a search beagle, and CDFA Director Karen Ross speaking!
Patrick Mulvaney and Randall Selland jibbing each other's culinary talents |
Michael Tuohy, Executive Chef at Grange, creating an Asparagus Salad
Randall Selland cooking, like personally! This hasn't happened in sometime!
So it was my first Ag at the Capitol, and a exciting abet soggy one, and will do everything to be back next year - it's all about showcasing Agriculture, food, chefs, ingredients, and the producers that bring these products to the people!
