I thought might of heard of it when going to Sac High back in the day but I wasn't quite sure? So after tasting a couple of bites of a carnitas burrito one day I knew I needed to find this place...now I know every Mexican boy out there says the only good Mexican food is the food made by his mother, but I would say this is a solid second to that.

The thing that really got me was the quality of the carnitas, they were outstanding, super luscious and savory-sweet at the same time. The al pastor was the perfect amount of spicy BBQ pork goodness, and a smidgeon of the right amount of hot sauce. But my favorite was the carnitas burrito - normally I hate burritos, theres usually too much rice or beans, and not a good ratio to any of it to the protein, but not here. It had a great creamy quality to the cheese, equal amount of beans, and rice, hot sauce, cilantro and protein - in this case carnitas. This is my new go-to dish.
My sister, surprisingly the diva in this story, is a connoisseur of chimichangas - an American creation (kind of a Tex-Mex style dish) that she needs to try wherever she goes? As this is a real Mexican food restaurant they don't even have a menu in English, much less Tex-Mex dishes - but the woman behind the counter said it was no problem at all, and whipped one right up!
This place is also seriously inexpensive for the food quality to cost ratio = cheap, good eats. One way or another this is a must try place, I mean if your going to put the calories/money out there shouldn't what your eating always be exceptional?

Will have to give this a try. As a Houston transplant, finding even close to decent Mexican (traditional or TexMex) here has been very difficult.
