A Low Key 4th of July

The 4th of July...what are you doing today? It's such an interesting holiday, some people get/ have to work, others are wasted before noon, and I'm sitting here jealous of the wet n' wild bounce house of the kids across the street. 105 degrees even makes drinking on the river a bit of a struggle. Where most people are prepping for the holiday 2 weeks before, I just got home with the fam' from Whole Foods and conceptualized and shopped for our menu in about an hour...including 'creative differences' timing.

Menu:
  • Bacon CheeseBurgers with aged Gouda
  • Grilled peaches
  • Sweet Corn
  • Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata
  • Odonata Saison and Crispin Lansdowne cider
  • Scharffenberger Chocolate creme pie and Korbel Champagne (contributed by my sister)
Not bad for a low-key Monday 4th of July, so have a great one, make sure it's safe and the hangover doesn't hurt too bad when you have to report in for work tomorrow!
