Le Petit Paris Brings European Couture to Sacramento, and the Food's Even Better!

On my most recent jaunt through the city I found myself drawn to a new little slice of heaven downtown, on 1221 19th Street, a second down the street from Patrick Mulvaney's B & L, so their in very good company! Upon walking through their doors, French couture is as far as the eye can see! From fabulous calf-skin leather bags by Rachel Ge to their 6 ft-across antique wall clock, chandeliers dripping with crystal, and black and white photo's galore.
The store is a unusual-for-Sacramento blend of cafe and boutique, but while their goodies are great--- let's get down to where the real treasure lies, in the food and drink! From croissants to tarts, chocolates to cakes, iced petite fours and open faced sandwiches! My favorite sandwich was the open faced goat cheese, prosciutto, tomato which was served warm and toasted! Along with their exceptional coffee-smith, this co-owner knows his coffee! From a European-style Cafe Au Lait (with espresso instead of regular drip coffee) to his creamy perfectly wet/dry cappuccino! After speaking to him about his coffee, I found he isn't using the much touted Illy, but roasting his own blends and bringing them in-store! From adding Belgian beer and French wine this European delight is not only in a prime location, but the food and Marie Antoinette decor makes it worth checking out. Check out the yummy eats at the location, and the couture at www.lepetitparis.us
