Step back boys and girls Rst Is Blowing Up!

Helloooo Darling, this is the coolest bar I have seen in the Sacramento area in along time, with great taste no less. But bar patrons of Sacramento be warned, this is NOT a shady saloon/ speakeasy as the name would lead one to believe. It is quite the opposite, the entire area of R st is waking up from the once predominant state owned ugly buildings the area used to be consumed by. Now there is of course the R15 bar, known for there Strong and sweet Wiki! the best way to get super smashed on Sunday afternoon, next to this cornerstone is now some trendy salon, a tool-bar known as Empire Club, ewwww, Burger's and Brew (thank god, and finally!-more on that in a min), Magpie Catering (yummyyummyyummy) and the not-so-shady lady saloon. OK people, let me give you a visual, imagine the inside of an urban outfitters catalog! with exposed brick, velvet wallpaper, a gorgeous wrap around polished wood bar, black leather snugs for seating, heavy chandeliers, low-lighting and a fabulous Louis XIV style couch in the front entrance! This place is sooo me, so fab--but not shady at all, to be honest more than a little clean, pretty, and trendy! But given their proximity to the Empire Club, it's not all the surprising! If your looking for real old-school shadyness check out the BackDoor Lounge! also sporting the velvet wallpaper, which hasn't been changed since the 1950's, best shady bar in town! Back to the shady saloon-- for what this place lacks in shadyness and age it gains back in choices, from the 209 Gin! to the fired green tomatoes, Belhaven, and carrying almost all of North Coast Brewing co's beers (except Pranskster tsk tsk), this is my place to drink-- as an equal opportunity alcoholic, I need good forms of all drinkbility, at all times! So if you haven't yet, check it out! Now on to the rest of R st!

Magpie Catering and Burger's and Brew!!! Magpie catering is by far one of the BEST catering companies in Sacramento if you prefer good food with lavender and mint to boiled chicken at a charity dinner! ----and now they own a retail front, offering all their goodies! From pastries to their Winter Squash guacamole with pita chips, this company reinvents the boring and with a fresh California flare no less! --check it out and thank me later!

Now on to the cu de gras --Burgers and Brew, now I know this is such a fatty thing to be so obsessed about a burger but that is ONLY because you haven't tried it yet! This place isn't just know for there burgers (which are made with Niman Ranch beef and bacon! and oh, the bacon-------but anyway! curly fries, garlic fries, and the most fabulous imported beer selection I have seen since I lived in Washington DC! From Delirium from Belgium to Trappist Ale in the form of Chimay, and of course Duvel! If you like burgers at all , and are interested in good beer this place is non-negotiable! I can't image that their not already swarming with customers, and hopefully this is only the second of many locations! good stuff to check out!!
