The Famous Mulvaney's Pig Roast!!!

Yes that's right boys and girls, the FAMOUS Mulvaney's Pig Roast! A total "Come One, Come All" event that Patrick Mulvaney and company put together for the Sacramento foodies in tribute to his father James E Mulvaney. This exciting event is in it's 9th year, and growing bigger and better each time from the look of the pretty piggies!



From suckeling pig, to the chickens cooked inside the pigs, this was a multi-meated feast! And that was just the main course, not including the potato salad, the famous brown bread, savory asparagus, and perfectly cooked pork! and pork bellys! Happy Piggy Goodness!



In addition to the pigs and food there was also a copious amount of wonderful libations, including a Sierra Nevada ale I've never even heard of (quite good), and wine, wine, wine. If anyone knows how to throw a party it's these people! Oh PLUS did I mention this was all FREE? It's an extraordinary celebration, where Queensbury Rules apply, and it's free...

This was quite a star-studded event with local celebrity wine personalities, food personalities, and downtowner foodies alike.

and on to dessert! That is beautiful strawberries, cream, brownies, almond sponge cake, and the best part a bitter-brown sugar-molasses brittle! (this was almost better than all the pigs!)
