8th Annual Autumn Equinox Celebration - Soil Born Farms

Soil Born Farms Autumnal Equinox Festival
Saturday, September 18 4:30 - 8:30pm

Soil Born Farms Annual Fundraiser, The Autumnal Equinox Celebration, allows youth and adults to rediscover and participate in a system of food production and distribution that promotes healthy living, nurtures the environment and brings people together to share the simple pleasures of living life in harmony with nature. They are committed to developing programming focused on organic food production, healthy food education and food access for all residents.

But the best part of this event is by far the exceptional quality of food available, and as a diehard foodie this event has made room on my calendar indefinitely. The vendors include The Waterboy who in previous years served roasted vegetables, creamed polenta, and fork-tender braised pork; the Healthy Kitchen catering company who served organic chicken breast with pesto, and grilled steak; Tapa the World who served sweet potato vegetable casserole; The L Wine Bar who served crostini with goat cheese and vegetable compote and my favorite by far was Magpie catering who was far and away the foodie show stopper festival wide. Magpie was serving winter Squash guacamole served with pita crisps and deserts galore including a cookie buffet, with specialties such as Lavender shortbread (exceptional), Spanish wedding cookies, Chocolate orange crinkles, Walnut fudge and much more!
This event supports a great cause, so get out and unite for agriculatirual sustainability!

Tickets MUST be bought in advance, there are no ticket sales at the door - so get your tickets at the Natural Food Co-Op on Alhambra or online asap!
