Midtown Cocktail Week - The Greatest Cocktail on Earth

So if you got super busy like I did this week, you might have missed a bit of Midtown Cocktail week, well great intentions aside (and they are great) the one event I made it to, The Greatest Cocktail on Earth wasn't quiet as I expected. It was more the greatest-scene -to-be-scene-at in Sacramento? The effort was there, but there were so many people, and in over-whelming numbers. The bar only took drink tickets, always a downer for me, as it was a cash-only basis as well. Who carries cash?

But once inside they were fully decked out with a forutne teller, a suspension system for some type of circuqe du soile theatrics that I never ending up seeing, and it was 10 deep at the bar.
This is great, and horrible, here's why: Jayson Wilde and Ryan Seng are legendary great bartenders at this point and they were doing straight "plug-n-chug" with this crowd, no excitement or beauty; they were literately "in the weeds" so it's hard to appreciate the "Greatest Cocktail on Earth" when the best-of-the-best can't even look up.

But all in all, great movements ahead for cocktails in Sacramento,
and too-many patrons are never looked down upon.
