The Yolo Land Trust’s signature fundraiser – A Day in the Country
– is being held on Sunday, September 11, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Park
Winters. This is a benefit for the Yolo Land Trust which highlights the diverse
and bountiful farmland of Yolo County, bringing together producers and
consumers at the beautiful setting of Park Winters, the 1865 Victorian
house on the historic George Washington Scott Ranch, located at 27850
County Road 26, just north of Winters. The grounds surrounding the
house will be open to the public specifically for this event.
I personally loved my experience last year, which you can read about here, I put this event up there as the BEST food & wine event/ fundraiser in the Northern California area. This includes Best of, Soil Born, and all the wine drinking events. So with such a high bar, it's hard to miss this for all the true foodies.

Chefs
from Northern California’s best restaurants will prepare a splendid
array of seasonal dishes using the best of Yolo County’s farms and
ranches, complimented by Yolo County wines. Last year’s delicious
dishes included organic striped figs with goat cheese wrapped in
prosciutto, chili verde with summer vegetables grilled to perfection,
chilled Greek salad with squid crostini and aioli, and vegetarian
chiveche with pico de gallo, to name just a few.

this year include Buckhorn Catering, C2 Steak & Seafood, Konditorei
Austrian Pastry Café, Main Street Café, Monticello, Nugget Market
Kitchen, Osteria Fasulo, Silvina’s Basket, Tazzina Bistro, Tucos Wine
Market and Café.
