I don't know what's gotten into Sampino's (rather Bill Sampino and family) - but as
Martha Stewart used to say "It's a good thing" - Sampino's sandwiches
were always great, the place is charming in a NY deli - Godfather-esk kinda
way.
I always love going in there an finding great lunch, dessert, and maybe something for dinner...but last time I went there I went a little hog wild. There deli case is full of individually made ravioli's, sausages, fish, meat cuts, and sauces...and that's just one of the cases.

There cheese case is just as exciting for the gourmand - abet it's all Italian, it's chalk full of Fontina, provolone, and hand-pulled mozzarella (which they make on site) - it's like a scene out of the Soprano's!
So in case this mini-post was to congested with Italian stereotypes to be believed, and you can't take my word for it - check it out for some lunch one day for your self:
