Hook and Ladder Co. is Already Making Quite an Impression!

From devine mixed drinks to craft cocktails on tap (no joke) this rustic meets elegant establishment is surely the hottest ticket in town!

with much anticipation on their opening we kept hearing different dates from Sac Press, Facebook and the like so assuming they must already be open we head over for a drink...low and behold it's their soft opening night!

What are the chances? Although an invite-only affair, we snagged a seat at their well stocked bar and prepared to soak it all in!

The craft cocktails were by far the most exciting part for me, it's astounding how much talent there is in Sacramento for libations, we are a very fortunate town! and now craft cocktails on draft!?! From Manhattan's to Stinger's you can order these as quick as a brew and it tastes far better

The whole feel to this place is a little "Mad Men" meets "Cowboy's and Aliens" with an old money Vanderbilt twist! Suffice to say it's my favorite bar in town, and it's not just because the famously talented and very distinguished Chris Tucker is the genius behind the bar!

Insight: the decor is actually all about Firefighters, hence the hooks and ladders.

But where the bar excelles there's also some great talent in the kitchen, from the trio of sausages above to the peppers and fries with aoli below this place is aces for a quick bite and a long meal.

the duck tostada was a favorite of the seated parties

my favorite of the dessert options was the candied bacon smore, at under $5/each these are too good to pass up just once, but their banana's foster bread pudding was no slouch either.

So that's jus the highlight reel, I can't wait to see what more they can do!

Word to the wise: hit this place up when their slow, and you have it all to yourself, then you get the full experience without the chaos - Happy Hours midweek, Lunch or Early Dinner - this place is going to be crazy till the novelty dies down.
