As I've been somewhat in a writing rut lately I was finding myself starved for inspiration, particularly culinary inspiration, and for the first time in months I actually found some, in the form of LowBrau - a sparkling new eatery in downtown Sacramento.
The inside reminds me a bit of the whitewashed East Hampton feeling you get in Ella's mixed with a rustic, wood tables and knives-on-walls kinda feel. Their entire approach to food/ drink/ experience is far from pretentious although with their beer list and ambitious food options they'd have every right to be. There's lost of attractive options from their expanding tap list, and although their menu might be limited in size it's far from that in skill - they aim to do one thing well (beer and brats), and succeed admirably.

So take a couple hours with a group of friends and head over to the MARRS building, and grab a seat at one of their long German-style tables, grab stein of beer and a sausage, and hang out - this is a place in just my first visit I ended up spending 4 hours in, and the people next to me were on their second trip there in just two days! (this could be come a habit!) - Given what they've been able to do in just a week, here's looking forward to what they can do in the future.
