FairOak’s Oktoberfest 2008 - It's very good the beer was soo cold, because it was HOTT!

FairOak’s Oktoberfest 2008 celebrates their 4th Annual Beer Fest at Fair Oaks Park.
An event that sponsors the Fair Oaks Recreation Park and Center, it helps to maintain the buildings and make improvements on the park and playground, which helps kids and neighbors become more involved in recreational activities. All thirty vendors donated their time and product to the cause.
"We want to highlight seasonal beers, and have a little fun, but we also want to do so for the right reasons," says Matson Breakey, spokesperson for the event. This event is in association with the famous West Coast Annual Brew Fest held in May. “This event is dedicated to celebrating the great beers of the season. Like the West Coast Brew Fest, we like to keep it simple with great food, live music and UNLIMITED BEER TASTING!”

New Belgian who produce 1554 and Fat Tire- 1554 was a very smooth brown ale, beautiful

And many more…
The food vendors were limited, offering a small variety including Ribs and Potato Salad, to grilled Bratwurst with sauerkraut, and an array of Mexican dishes. The beer was served in unlimited 8 ounce pours making the patrons very happy. There was also live music were the bands included Rise of New Audio, Prieta, and Echo Pheen. The location was nice, even if it was very hot, among all the trees with picnic tables for seating and there was plenty of parking at no additional cost. Although this event has little to no promotion, outside of there website, the beer was plentiful and very thirst quenching – check it out next year!
