Celebrating the 23rd Winter Wine & Food Fest benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation was once again the height of the food & wine events Sacramento has to offer. On Friday January 29, 2011 jeans met black tie at the Sacramento Convention Center with every thing from a coat check (not normal for Sacramento's event) to a Oscar-themed VIP live auction area.
A truly elegant wine and food tasting affair, which featured 120 of Sacramento's finest wineries, breweries, and eating establishments. The evening was complete with an exciting VIP live auction, a silent auction featuring trips and cool autographed memorabilia, along with live music courtesy of some of Sacramento's hottest talent.
Standouts:
Awesome Band chirping everything from 1980's hit to soft rock
Silent auction, Sports cars, Oscar Award themed VIP table area for Live auction
Artistic Food Creations by Chef Ray Duey - He made my friend a carrot swan in 30 seconds
Dos Coyotes Border Café - Asparagus quesadillas, wonderful flavor for a vegetarian bite
Classique Catering - Turkey pot pies, the HIT of the festival, everyone wanted one
